Our very own Wedding Planner Jane Nordli is on hand and offers a complimentary service to help plan your special day here at The Hideaway. Jane can also coordinate on the day, please contact her directly for her fees.
Jane has been in the business for over 17 years and has over 300 happy couples to her name, Jane knows everyone and everything when it comes to weddings!

Share my carefully selected suppliers, menu design, budget advise, money saving tips, styling, creating a day plan, even a shoulder to cry on if you fall out with Mum. It goes without saying that it is your wedding day, and I will work with you, your style and personality to ensure that you have the day that you dream of. Alternatively you may just need me on the day itself, keeping the day to our plan, managing caterers and suppliers, and just making sure that you have the best day ever. My job is to make sure that the day is perfectly planned, utterly unique and so that you don’t need to worry about a thing.”

How it works and what it costs…
When my wife and I were planning our wedding here @The Hideaway in 2013 we found that the moment you mention the ‘W’ (Wedding) word many suppliers, caterers, venues, etc double or add another ‘0’ to their quotes so here @The Hideaway we simply charge you what we would take if the campsite was full of campers. We have to take into account lost reservations that we would have had through the week and over the weekend and also lost revenue in shop sales etc but this is carefully worked out we don’t add any extra digits just for the sake of being greedy! We know every £ counts when planning such a special day so we will try to save you as many £’s as we can!
We work on a ‘you hire the whole site’ basis which means The Hideaway is yours with all the camping pitches (x 30) and the pre-erected Ecopods and Bell tents, accommodating up to 120 guests in total. We have 3 Ecopods and 5 Bell tents at the moment, for details on these please visit our ‘Bell Tents & Ecopods’ section on the website. You also have exclusive use of our new luxury washroom facilities, (again more pictures can be found throughout the website). The price you pay (prices below) is for the hire of the whole of The Hideaway including the site for a marquee, it does not include the marquee or the catering, the ceremony, etc these are left to you to source to make your wedding @The Hideaway personal. We do of course have suppliers that we recommend but you are by no means tied to these.
A large proportion of the hire cost can be recuperated by asking guests who wish to camp to pay a fee direct to yourselves, say £20 per tent or £10 per person per night, many of our Brides and Grooms have done this in the past.
N.B. Most of our wedding couples ask guests to pay for their own pitches/accommodation which means that the fee you pay will obviously be a lot less.
Please also note our 11pm ‘quiet’ curfew is relaxed for weddings but our license does state that all AMPLIFIED music must cease by midnight, acoustic music can carry on after this time but we don’t want to upset our neighbours with persistent thumping bass beats! 😉

The above prices are the prices to hire the whole site including an area to put up a marquee , it does NOT include a marquee or any other things such as food, bar etc these will be additional costs to you.

A newly converted self catering holiday cottage. Highthorne farm granary will sleep up to four. It is situated on our small working family farm just outside the village of Husthwaite, half an hours drive from York and Harrogate. We are surrounded by small market towns such as Easingwold, Thirsk and Helmsley. We are in close proximity of the White horse of Kilburn and within an hours drive of the East Coast. This would make the perfect base for cycling and walking holidays and for exploring the vast variety of attractions our area has to offer. Closed courtyard garden area and designated car parking space.

Acoustic Music (post-midnight!)
Again you are able to supply your own catering and drinks. If you wish to have a “cash bar” at the wedding we would need to apply for a license so please let us know in plenty of time.
Do note that if you wish to supply all your own catering you will need still need to have some staff – to help clear up, serve the food, wash up etc. We can help with this.
We can supply the catering if you wish: hog roasts from £15 per head, Buffets from £22 per head, picnic style afternoon teas from £15 per head, 3 course dinners from £40 per head.
At The Hog and Apple, we strive to source the ultimate in locally produced pigs, with food provenance being the key. We are therefore able to achieve the finest free range traditional and rare breed hog roasts. By sourcing the food locally, we are supporting local businesses, reducing our ‘food miles’ and therefore doing our bit to being a more sustainable business. As well as our delicious free range traditional and Rare breed hog roasts we work at some of the regions finest wedding venues providing fantastic dining experiences and full wedding packages.

Glampit offer a number of luxurious camping rental packages, all of which are pre-erected at The Hideaway, on a date you want. They can supply you with a fantastic canvas bell tent, with furnishings and equipment.

We are able to offer you the canvas bell tent and turn it into an authentic glamping experience, by adding luxurious features. These include:
- Good quality double airbed (with pump).
- All of your bedding (linen, duvet and pillows).
- Lighting in the form of lanterns and fairy lights.
- Furnishings such as cushions, rugs, low tables, bunting and camping chairs.
- All of the crockery (mugs, glasses, plates and bowls) and cutlery needed.
